SMG_Man Posted July 23, 2023 If you want portals in GZDoom, you pretty much have to use a more advanced format such as "Doom II (Hexen format)" or "Doom II (UDMF)". The format you're using, "Doom II (Doom format)", is much more simple - as a result, there are many advanced features that it either supports in a very crude way (slopes for example), or lacks entirely (Portals as shown above). 2 Share this post Link to post

If you're using the Doom II format, it means you can only use things which were possible in the original release of Doom II. That game did not have portals coded in, which is why you cannot find the action. It doesn't exist in that format. 1 Share this post Link to post
LoatharMDPhD Posted August 29, 2023 Can you make a WAD in Complvl 9 but the first 11 maps are in reggy D2 format and the later ones are Boom; the whole thing gets saved as Boom, right right? ? 0 Share this post Link to post
